Every Solana transaction pays a small network fee, normally in SOL. That is why most wallets and trading bots tell you to buy SOL before you can do anything. If you hold only USDC, you are stuck until you swap some of it, and you end up with a few dollars of SOL sitting idle.

There is a simpler way: an app that pays the network fee for you and takes it back in USDC within the same transaction.

Why trade from USDC at all

  • Your balance is in dollars. Profit and loss are easy to read, and cash between trades does not swing with the price of SOL.
  • One asset to fund. You deposit USDC from an exchange, or buy it with a card, and that is all.
  • No dust. No leftover SOL to top up or forget about.

How to do it on Murmurn

  1. Sign in. A non-custodial Solana wallet is created for you. There is no seed phrase to write down at the start.
  2. Add USDC. Send USDC on the Solana network to your wallet address, or buy USDC with a card or Apple Pay. Make sure you send on Solana, not another chain.
  3. Find the token. Search by name or paste its contract address. Always check the address matches the one the project publishes, because copycat tokens with the same name are common.
  4. Check the token page. It shows liquidity, holders and a safety report before you buy. See the 7-step safety check.
  5. Enter an amount in USDC and review the quote. It shows the platform fee, the network fee and the price impact. The smallest trade is 20 USDC.
  6. Confirm. The swap, the fee and the network fee settle in one transaction.

What it costs

On Murmurn: 0.52% of the trade plus a flat 0.02 USDC, and the network fee, which is usually a fraction of a cent. The first time you buy a token there is also a one-off charge to open the token account in your wallet, shown in the quote. Many Telegram trading bots charge around 1% per trade and still need SOL for gas. Full breakdown: how Murmurn fees work.

Selling back to USDC

Selling works the same way in reverse: the token is swapped back to USDC and the fees come out of the proceeds. You can sell a whole position at any size, even below the 20 USDC minimum.
